Welcome to the Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency—the County’s designated antipoverty agency, committed to helping residents rise above economic hardship and move to self-sufficiency.
For over half a century, our agency has stood as a beacon of hope and empowerment in Anne Arundel County. As our County’s official anti‑poverty organization, we deliver comprehensive, dynamic programs that address both the causes and consequences of poverty, ensuring our participants from infancy through their senior years receive the support they need.
From our Early Head Start and Youth Development programs to Energy Assistance, Housing Support, Health and Wellness initiatives, and Reentry and Diversion services, our efforts are unified by a transformative 2‑Generation Whole Family approach. This model is designed to lift families holistically, strengthening both caregivers and children so they can build a brighter, more stable future.
As a change agent, I joined this vital organization with a deep commitment to expanding our reach and deepening our impact. My background in education, public health, and community advocacy has prepared me to lead with compassion, persistence, and partnership—infused by the spirit of Edgar Albert Guest’s poem “See It Through,” which inspires my drive to find solutions to problems without giving up.
I am honored to guide this agency during an era of growth and innovation. Together with our dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, and Board of Directors, we are focused on fostering real change, delivering services that improve lives today and lay the groundwork for economic mobility tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Whether you are a participant, community ally, or philanthropist, your involvement is vital. Together, we can continue to transform lives across Anne Arundel County, one family at a time.
Warm regards,
Charlestine R. Fairley, PhD.
